Vote for Darcy

To the Editor:
Jim Darcy is the most concerned politician when it comes to Valley Stream and other council districts. He was brought up right here and attended school here. Whatever decision he makes is carefully and fully thought through. He does not leave any stone unturned.
As a councilman, Darcy has voted to keep taxes down, thereby earning for the town the top Wall Street credit rating available. That is why Hempstead receives lower interest costs on borrowing money. The Courtesy Hotel was just demolished and is in its rehabilitation phase. New people will be moving in and changing West Hempstead. Darcy helped approve a $50 million “Improve Hempstead” capital program that is rebuilding roads and creating jobs.
He was the only one to gather together Valley Stream residents and Sen. Charles Schumer and Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy to find help on the large premiums for their flood insurance.
When you watch Jim Darcy, he is always listening to people, and he will do everything possible to rectify a problem. This isn’t the first time he accomplished this feat. He did it in Valley Stream when it was $1 million in the red. He brought it up to $1 million in the black. Let’s vote for a doer and a problem solver.
