The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department responded to a call of a malfunctioning water cooler in a building on Central Avenue in Cedarhurst on Monday.

The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department responded to a call at a building at 445 Central Ave. in Cedahurst Monday morning, Chief David Campbell said.
It turned out to be a malfunctioning water cooler in an office on the third floor. There was no damage and no injuries, Campbell said.
Central Avenue between Carman Avenue and Spruce Street was closed for about 30 minutes.
