Summer is over and it’s time to hit the books, say hello to old friends, make new friends and begin a new school year as Lawrence and Hewlett-Woodmere students returned to school Tuesday.

At the Lawrence Primary School at the Number Two School in Inwood, new Principal Christine Moore greeted students as they came off the buses and headed into the building. At Woodmere Middle School and Hewlett High School, students appeared ready for the homework and projects to be assigned.
