Light Rain Woman arrested in Hewlett burglary

Jamie Coluso allegedly stole money and jewelry from a Hewlett home in July. She was caught after police identified her through a DNA test of her blood.

Jamie Coluso, 26, of Valmont Lane in Commack, was arrested for the alleged burglary of a Franklin Avenue house in Hewlett that occurred on July 28, police said.
According to police, Coluso broke the glass of a rear door that led to the home’s kitchen and then stole an unspecified amount of money and assorted jewelry. She had cut herself and left traces of blood throughout the house, police said.
After a DNA test, police identified Coluso and 4th Precinct detectives found her in Woodmere on Sept. 8. She is charged with burglary-second degree.
