A woman who rolled over her car at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Flamingo Street near the Silver Point Beach Club in Atlantic Beach at 3 p.m. on June 15 had to be extricated from the vehicle when the doors didn’t open, officials at the scene said.

Atlantic Beach Rescue, the Inwood and Long Beach fire departments and Nassau County police responded and found the woman stuck in the Chrysler 200. The emergency responders sawed off the car’s roof and got the woman out.

She was taken by police ambulance to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

Traffic was shutdown in the area for more 30 minutes.
