Woodmere man missing

The Nassau County police issued a Silver Alert for Woodmere resident Karther Ortiz, who was last seen walking along Broadway in Woodmere at 11 a.m. on Dec. 17.
Ortiz, 20, is 5-9 tall, weighs 180 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black jacket, dark denim pants and black sneakers. He suffers from cognitive disorder and schizophrenia, and is in need of his medication.
The Silver Alert program was established to disseminate immediate information to local media, hospitals and other organizations, when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.
