The State Assembly is set to vote on a bill that would prohibit the Long Island Power Authority from receiving tax refunds on the E.F. Barrett Generation Station, which could impact a proposal that LIPA offered the county in order to cut its taxes on the plant. The Senate passed the measure on Feb. 11.
