It took a full nine innings, two more than usual, but Lynbrook defeated North Shore, 4-0, in the first round of the Class A baseball playoffs last Saturday. Senior Andrew Marks’ RBI single in the top of the ninth snapped a scoreless tie, highlighting a four-run outburst by the Owls on a day when pitching and defense dominated.
