A BP gasoline station, at 1577 Merrick Road in Merrick, was robbed at gunpoint late Wednesday night, according to Nassau County police. Officials said that a man carrying a knife entered the service station at about 10:48 p.m., threatened an employee with a gun and went behind the counter. The suspect emptied the register, taking an undetermined amount of cash, and exited the store in a black vehicle that was waiting for him outside. more
