The Jewish War Veterans is a national organization trying to dispel the myth that Jews never served in American military conflicts. And here on the South Shore, Post 652 is seeking out new members, with the goal of upholding the organization's values.

The North Bellmore School District has long partnered with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to collect toys for natural disaster relief. This year, Saw Mill Road Elementary School's SADD Club ran the drive, and representatives from the charity came to meet with students, and collect the toys to be driven to southwest Florida.
