A nor'easter made its way up the Eastern Seaboard on Saturday, pounding Merrick-Bellmore in the evening with a mix of heavy snow and high winds. Ten Kennedy High School seniors were recently inducted into the National Honor Society, which was founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. More than a million students take part in the activities of the National Honor Society, with chapters in all 50 states. Selection is based on four criteria: outstanding scholastic achievements, community service, leadership and character.
