Q. We had an addition built over 10 years ago but we didn’t get a permit. Many laws have changed and we have to do a lot of rigamarole, and maybe even tear part of the addition apart to correct things. We shouldn’t be made to do all these changes, should we? more

How do we get to talk to a real person?

Q. I am so angry. I called my building department about an addition. The rude secretary didn’t even let me ask questions. She kept repeating, “It’s on the Web site,” so I looked on the Web site. My questions were not answered. more
