Shots were fired outside a North Bellmore liquor store around 6:35 p.m. on Monday, according to Nassau County police. It all began when three men entered Newbridge Wine and Liquors, at 1377 Newbridge Road, on Aug. 8 and stole assorted bottles of liquor, police said. Alyssa Garbarino’s second concussion came on a frigid Sunday afternoon when she was 17. Under overcast skies, Garbarino, of North Merrick, who was then playing with the East Meadow Soccer Club’s Storm, bruised her way through a sea of bodies.
