Valley Stream South High School raised $2,500 for the Hewlett House on June 8 by hosting a faculty softball game. Three seniors organized the event and coached the two teams to raise money in honor of two South teachers who are currently battling breast cancer. more

It was built in the rain and dedicated in the cold. In between, the new gazebo at Hewlett House has become a popular spot for those who are battling cancer. more
