Molloy College announced on Nov. 10 that Joseph Fennessy has joined its board of trustees. Fennessy is co-chair of the Mount Sinai South Nassau board of directors, as well as a retired partner and former chief operating officer for Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Northeast Region. During his 41-year Deloitte career, he also served as the managing partner of Deloitte’s Long Island office and partner-in-charge of the Northeast Region healthcare practice. more

After an extensive search, Dr. Michelle Piskulich was selected to the position of provost and vice president of academic affairs at Molloy College and will begin her appointment on Aug. 23. Piskulich was previously a senior associate provost at Oakland University, and the college’s search committee was assisted by the Storbeck Search firm, in selecting her out of nearly 100 applicants. more
Rockville Centre resident LaTonja Lee is the first Black female athletic trainer at Molloy College, but being a trailblazer isn’t enough for her. She said her goal is to help youth in underserved areas by teaching them what it’s like to be an athletic trainer and educating them about healthy living. more

Despite restrictions that remain in place as the number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise, students at Molloy College in Rockville Centre are striving for some normalcy in their campus life. On Sunday and Monday, nearly 200 students returned to school and moved into its three residence halls for the spring semester — about 35 more students than lived on campus last fall. To ensure social distancing, they moved in by scheduled appointment, avoiding crowded elevators and hallways as they hauled in suitcases and supplies. more
