Michael Esposito, a 43-year-old former captain with the Baldwin Fire Department, died early this morning of an apparent heart attack at the scene of a fire at 2870 Grand Avenue. The 21-year veteran of the department told fellow firemen he wasn’t feeling well in the early stages of fighting the fire, which was reported via a 911 at 3:30 a.m. Esposito was taken by ambulance to South Nassau Communities hospital in Oceanside where he died. Esposito was not married and did not have children, the department has said. more
