The North Merrick School District is seeking to borrow $14.65 million for infrastructure upgrades at Camp Avenue, Fayette and Old Mill Road elementary schools, which administrators say are essential for the schools’ long-term use. Local residents will decide at the May 19 school vote whether to approve a bond sale to fund the buildings and grounds improvements.

Malverne residents will have the opportunity to hear the New York American Water Company’s water main replacement plans for Malverne when they make a presentation at the next Board of Trustees meeting in Malverne on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. The presentation will be made prior to the monthly Board of Trustees meeting and the public is strongly encouraged to attend.
