The village of Valley Stream held its annual tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 10 outside of Village Hall. There was a musical performance from Central High School Tri-M honor society students, treats and a chance for children to send their letters to Santa.

The sights and sounds of the holidays were quite prevalent in North Valley Stream on Monday night. Friends of North Valley Stream hosted its annual Christmas and Hanukkah celebration at the corner of Dutch Broadway and Corona Avenue.
