Camp Barrett — it’s a family affair

On a typical morning, about 300 children, teens and adults are scattered throughout Barrett Park, home to Valley Stream’s summer camp. But there’s far fewer last names, as many sets of siblings go there together as campers, or work there together as counselors. And, in a few cases, there’s one of each in a family. more

Valley Stream's village summer camp program hosted its annual Color Wars competition on July 19 at Barrett Park. Campers divided into the blue and red teams and competed in a variety of field day-like activities including a tug-of-war, obstacle course and a variety of relay races. more
