On Friday, September 2, TD is inviting people to participate in a community fundraiser event to support the organization. In addition to the community donation, TD will make a contribution.

Registration is now under way for the Purple Ribbon Run, which will be held on Saturday, July 23 in Wantagh. There will be a half-mile fun run for children at 8 a.m., and the 5K run and walk starts at 8:30 a.m. The race finish and end is at the Forest Lake Elementary School.

If you have a sweet tooth, then you are in luck. The Wantagh-Seaford Girl Scout Association will be selling cookies of all sorts outside of grocery stores and other popular spots in Wantagh and Seaford to raise money. Girls from Troop 3121, from Mandalay Elementary School, had fun handing out cookie boxes and dressing in their bright green vests outside of the King Kullen on Wantagh Avenue last week.
