Patricia Locurcio, secretary to the West Hempstead Chamber of Commerce for more than eight years and a very active West Hempstead volunteer, has a very simple request. “I need a van,” said Locurcio, who has multiple sclerosis and a 2006 Dodge Caravan that she says is falling apart. “And I don’t have the money to afford another one.” more

Multi chambers network at Crossroads Farm
Five area chambers of commerce came together at Crossroads Farm at Grossmann’s last week for the West Hempstead Chamber of Commerce’s 4th annual multi-chamber event. “We had the West Hempstead, Franklin Square, Elmont, Hempstead and Malverne chambers of commerce there,” said Patti Locurcio, the West Hempstead chamber’s secretary.
