On Jan. 17, in front of New York’s policymakers, Governor Cuomo announced his 2012-13 budget. The governor used the speech to apply pressure to our state’s unions, interest groups and school districts by defiantly stating, take what we’re offering or make due without state funding. more

Earlier this month on Long Island, Governor Cuomo, joined by County Executive Ed Mangano and State Senate Majority leader Dean Skelos, signed legislation to dramatically reduce the Metropolitan Transportation Authority payroll tax for hundreds of thousands of individuals and businesses and significantly reduce this onerous tax for thousands more. more
