The Hewlett-Woodmere School District replaced the cupola atop the Woodmere Education Center, which was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy.

Traffic was slowed and stopped on Broadway in Woodmere last Friday as a 150-foot-tall crane lifted a cupola tower and its copper top into place at the peak of the Woodmere Education Center, 70 feet above the street. more

Inwood Country Club opened up ten of its tennis courts to members of the Inwood community as 300 children, parents and volunteers attended the first ever Kids’ Tennis Festival, hosted by The Inwood Charities Fund Inc. along with the USTA Eastern/Long Island Region. Volunteers and guests included the Baldwin High School Girls Varsity Tennis Team, Lynbrook High School Girls Varsity Tennis Team, and tennis professionals from the Inwood Country Club. more
