Jordan Fredericks may have found a permanent home in Lawrence’s backfield. In his first full game at tailback after switching from slot receiver, Fredericks, a junior, tied a career high with five touchdowns — four rushing and one receiving — and totaled 256 yards to lead the visiting Golden Tornadoes to a 47-28 victory over Lynbrook.

Six games involving six different age groups and 200 children, along with coaches, family and friends made up the annual Inwood Buccaneer Athletic Club Buccaneer Day at Lawrence High School on Sept. 8. The age groups included 6/7-, 8-, 9-, 10-, 11/12- and 13-year-olds.
