The Peninsula Public Library is asking voters to approve a $2.5 million budget proposal that is 2.98 percent larger than its current spending plan. We strongly urge you to support it on May 11. more
The Peninsula Public Library Board of Trustees adopted a 2010-11 budget of $55 million that includes a 2.98 percent increase from the current budget. Under the spending plan the tax levy, the total amount to be raised through local property taxes, would rise 2.93 percent. Library officials estimate that if the budget is approved the average District 15 homeowner would see a $5 difference on their tax bill. more

Voters approved the proposed $5.6 million Hewlett-Woodmere Library budget Tuesday night 260-85. The passed budget includes a 2.89 percent tax levy, the amount to be raised through local property taxes. The budget proposal includes an additional $7,750 for cultural programs. more
