If re-elected, Leg. Francis X. Becker (R-Lynbrook) said that he can see himself accomplishing a lot more in the next two to four years. “I have the ability to help people,” said Becker, a six-term incumbent. “I want to continue to do so.”

The Malverne Rotary Club's annual National Jean Company 5k Walk/Run for Education will return on Oct. 18. The race, which is held each year to raise money for the Malverne Educational and Fitness Foundation, will begin at Howard T. Herber Middle School on Ocean Avenue at 9 a.m.
