The Kennedy High School varsity cheerleading squad took first place at the 29th annual Nassau County Cheerleading Competition on Dec. 11 in Valley Stream. When Mallory Cogen became head coach of the Kennedy High School varsity cheerleading squad two years ago, she was determined to restore the program to the level of success it enjoyed when she was a Kennedy cheerleader. It didn’t take long. more

The Kennedy High School cheerleading squad recently captured the Valley Stream North High School County Cheerleading Competition, and the team was honored with certificates at the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District Board of Education meeting on Jan. 5. more

The Mepham High School varsity cheerleading squad recently placed second at the Universal Cheerleading Regionals. The win earned the team a bid to the UCA Nationals in Orlando, Fla. The team will be conducting fundraising for the trip in the near future.
