L.I. International Film Fest comes to Bellmore

Local movie-goers looking for a different experience than your typical summer blockbuster need look no further than their own backyard. The Long Island International Film Expo, hosted by the Long Island Film/TV Foundation, will return to the Bellmore Movies this week. Colts grab 6th county badminton crown

If any team were to define dynasty, it would be the Calhoun High School girls' badminton squad. The team, led by coach Gregg Muscarella, is 138-5 in matches over the past nine years. In that time, the Colts have won six county championships, as well as eight Conference I titles. more

A group of Central District officials and students went to Hangar 17 at Kennedy Airport last week to inspect the rusted girder that will form the centerpiece of the monument.
