What a difference a year made for Dan Alles.
After missing all of the 2013 men’s lacrosse season due to a shoulder injury that brought two rounds of surgery, the Tufts University defender played a key role in the Jumbos’ winning their second NCAA Division III title in five years.

The final record may not show it, but South Side’s girls’ lacrosse team made big strides in 2014. After going 13-4 last spring, the Lady Cyclones moved up to Conference I and despite stepped-up competition managed to put together a winning season at 9-8.
