As a resident of Valley Stream for 50 years, I was appalled to learn from some mothers speaking at the Valley Stream Pool that the pool has been opened to Malverne residents. Funny that we didn’t hear a word about this from our mayor, Ed Fare.

Valley Stream residents of all ages tried to beat the heat on Wednesday any way possible. Hundreds of people took to the Valley Stream pool to cool off while about two-dozen senior citizens kept cool in the Green Acres Senior Center.
