Posted

Families, cyclists and community advocates will roll through Baldwin Park this weekend as Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé and the Baldwin Civic Association prepare to host the fourth annual Community Bike Rodeo and Parade.

The event, scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon on May 16, aims to promote bike safety, healthy activity and community connection through a morning of rides, clinics and family-friendly programming.

Participants of all ages and skill levels are invited to join the festivities, which will include a community bike parade, group rides and a bike clinic offering free safety checks and maintenance support. Organizers said the event has grown steadily in recent years, becoming a popular spring tradition in Baldwin.

“Year after year, the Baldwin Bike Rodeo and Parade continues growing as a cherished community tradition that brings people together of all ages and abilities to celebrate the joy of cycling,” Mulé said in a statement. “Whether you’re experienced or just getting started, there’s something to enjoy as you explore the community, get active, and meet your neighbors.”

The event route will wind through parts of Baldwin, with separate paths designed for younger children and families as well as older riders and adults.

The parade and rodeo are supported by several community organizations and agencies, including Transit Solutions, Let’s Move LI, Oceanside Cycle, Ridgewood Savings Bank, Vision Long Island, the Town of Hempstead and the Nassau County Police Department.

The event will take place at Baldwin Park between the hockey rink and tennis courts. For additional information, residents can contact Mulé’s office at 516-571-6206 or dmule@nassaucountyny.gov.
