A 57-year-old man was hospitalized Tuesday evening after the e-bike he was operating collided with a vehicle in Baldwin, according to Nassau County police.
Police said the man was traveling north on Dorlon Place at a high rate of speed at about 5:43 p.m. when he turned right onto Steele Boulevard and struck a 2005 Dodge driven by a 55-year-old man.
The e-bike operator suffered head trauma and was taken to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said. The Dodge driver remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
