Baldwin Fire Department responds to call at 699 The Fenway

The Baldwin Fire Department sprang into action again today around noon, responding to a house fire call at number 699 The Fenway in Baldwin. When firefighters arrived on the scene smoke was issuing from the house, and firefighters put two hoses into action to prevent the blaze from spreading. After fighting the fire for nearly two hours, further damage to the residence and the neighborhood was prevented. According to Fire Chief Kevin Smith, three firefighters were transported to the hospital suffering from heat exhaustion. No additional injuries have been reported.
