The Baldwin school district welcomed more than 20 new educators and staff members ahead of the 2026-27 school year as part of its New Staff Orientation program.

The weeklong orientation gave new teachers and support staff an opportunity to learn about the district, meet colleagues and prepare for the start of the school year.

Throughout the program, district administrators introduced the new staff members to Baldwin’s educational mission and approach to student learning. Participants also learned about the district’s instructional priorities, academic programs and resources, as well as the support available to educators throughout the school year.

The orientation also highlighted the district’s Future Ready Competencies, which focus on communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, civics and character.

The competencies are incorporated into instruction across the district and are intended to help students develop skills that can prepare them for college, careers and life beyond the classroom.

The district’s newest employees include teachers, school psychologists, speech pathologists and other support staff who will work with students across Baldwin schools.

With orientation completed, the new staff members are preparing to welcome students and begin the 2026-27 school year as members of the Baldwin school community.
