Ex-Captain Esposito to be honored at Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service

Ex-Captain of the Baldwin Fire Department, Michael Paul Esposito, who died at 43 after suffering a heart attack while responding to a residential structure fire on May 18, 2011, will be honored at the 31st annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Esposito was among some 80 firefighters who died in 2011, a release from the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation stated, going on to mention that more than 6,000 people, including “members of Congress, administration officials and other dignitaries,” will attend the event.

The ceremony will be held Oct. 6 and 7 and will be broadcast via live satellite for friends and family members unable to attend in person.
