Sixth annual Grand Baldwin Festival packs Prospect Street

The Grand Baldwin Festival returned Oct. 3 for its sixth year, bringing food, art, music and family activities to Prospect Street and the municipal parking lot behind the Baldwin Public Library. This year’s festival featured 113 vendors and sponsors, including local food trucks, artisan jewelry makers and nonprofit organizations.

The festival began 2019 to mark the Baldwin Public Library’s 100th anniversary and has since grown into a community tradition. Each festival draws hundreds of visitors, uniting local businesses, houses of worship, performers and community organizations.

Hosted by the Community Coalition of Baldwin – an offshoot of the Baldwin Council Against Drug Abuse - the festival aims to strengthen community pride and support community-building initiatives. Local performers provided entertainment throughout the afternoon, including Baldwin High School’s Baldwin Bruins cheerleaders.

Proceeds from the festival will support community-building projects and events, as well as scholarships for Baldwin students who give back to their community.
