Jonathan Taskasap, owner and operator of Scherner Electric Inc., was named Baldwin’s Businessperson of the Year. Taskasap was recognized at the Nassau Council of Chamber of Commerce’s 41st annual Businessperson of the Year & Legislative Breakfast on Oct. 30. The event took place at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
Scherner Electric is a family-owned electrical contracting business founded in 1968 by Taskasap’s grandfather, Helmut Scherner. Today, Taskasap continues the family legacy by growing and modernizing the business. Scherner Electric provides electrical services to homeowners and businesses throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties.
