The Summer Crazy Ice Cream Sundae Party is this Saturday

Last year, members of Hangout One Happy Place gathered to raise funds for Michael Saintrome, one of their members, who was struck by a van in January of 2023, with a bingo night at Baldwin Harbor Park.

The Summer Crazy Ice Cream Sundae Party is happening this Saturday July 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Baldwin Park Recreational Room to raise money for Michael Saintrome.

Last year, Saintrome was severely injured after being hit by a car, damaging his head and leaving him in and out of consciousness. Angela Lucas, founder of Hangout One Happy Place, previously held an event accumulating roughly $1,400 in April of that year. Lucas was Saintrome’s elementary school teacher making her personally connected to the family, driving this operation. On Saturday, a suggested donation of $10 would go to Saintrome's family

The nonprofit, Hangout One Happy Place, located in Baldwin, aims to support young adults of all abilities through art and fitness encouraging personal growth and social interactions. They have hosted various fundraising events such as their annual autism awareness walk and hosting musical performances for the public.
