Maureen Beccaris has been an officer in the Nassau County Police Department’s 1st Precinct for 26 years, but for the past six months, she said, she came to work every day not knowing where she would be the next week. She explained that her office’s supplies and papers were still in boxes, waiting to be moved to Seaford when the scheduled merger of the 1st and 7th precincts took place.

Parking at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in Eisenhower Park has long been a problem, according to regular visitors to the 80,000-square-foot facility. The Aquatic Center regularly hosts major swimming and diving competitions in its pool, as well as local high school events and swim club workouts. The popular facility has hundreds of visitors each day.
