The East Meadow High School marching band made its Columbus Day Parade debut in 1992, under the direction of Bill Katz, Ken Sepe, Joel Levy and Abby Behr. Homecoming weekend offers students an opportunity to showcase their school spirit, and East Meadow students did just that last weekend. Per Homecoming tradition, students in all grade classes designed their own floats, and marched down East Meadow streets in celebration. These year’s Homecoming King was Franz De Leon, who was accompanied in the parade by Homecoming Queen Gianna Bova. more

The PTA Council — a coalition of the district’s nine school PTAs and SEPTA — raises thousands of dollars annually during its Founders Day Dinner and the money is used to fund dozens of scholarships to graduating seniors at W.T.
