The East Meadow Summer Music Program, held at East Meadow High School earlier this summer, culminated in three memorable concerts that showcased the talent and dedication of the district’s young musicians.

During the course of the month, students engaged in small group lessons, major ensemble rehearsals and invaluable bonding time with their peers. The program provided a comprehensive musical experience, allowing participants to hone their skills and collaborate closely. Each student benefited from personalized instruction and the opportunity to perform in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Michelle Shmuel, co-director of the program and music chairperson at W.T. Clarke Middle School and W.T. Clarke High School, shared her reflections on the experience.

“It was an absolute honor to collaborate with such a dedicated group of young musicians this summer,” Shmuel said. “Their enthusiasm and commitment to their craft were truly inspiring. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the community, friends and family for their invaluable support in making this program a resounding success.”

The concerts were a testament to the hard work and enthusiasm of the students, leaving audiences impressed and uplifted. The East Meadow Summer Music Program continues to be a cherished tradition, bringing together aspiring musicians and nurturing their growth in the arts.
