Celebrating East Meadow’s businesses

The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Installation dinner was an evening that celebrated businesses, community relationships and meaningful partnerships throughout the year. It took place on Feb. 2 at the Westbury Manor, a catering hall and event space on Jericho Turnpike in Westbury.

This year’s ceremonies were led by Thomas Gallagher, a past president of the chamber. The Color Guard was presented by East Meadow Boy Scout Troop 362.

Anthony Bott, of Worth Property Management & Real Estate Brokerage, was installed as the chamber’s 2024 president. He assumes the role, following last year’s president, James Skinner.

County Legislator Tom McKevitt installed Bott, and the chamber’s board of directors and officers for the coming year.

The chamber named Dr. John Zaso, a pediatrician who’s office is on Merrick Avenue in East Meadow, as its Person of the Year. Additional awards were given to Ryan Parkman, named Board Member of the Year, the East Meadow Fire District, who received the David Rothbaum Silver Fox Award, and Taleen Krug, who was awarded the Marvin Bernstein Humanitarian Award.

Whether influential members of the community were being honored, or businesses that have gone above and beyond, the evening highlighted the good work of the chamber, and looked ahead to what’s to come. For more, visit EastMeadowChamber.com.
