Contest voting deadline extended

The deadline for voting on a new slogan for East Meadow’s new welcome signs has been extended to Oct. 28.

The Herald, along with the East Meadow School District and the Town of Hempstead, have asked elementary schools to come up with a catchy and appropriate phrase that captures the identity of East
Meadow.

You can still vote on your favorite finalist. The slogan that attains the most votes will appear on two new “Welcome to East Meadow signs, one to be posted on Hempstead Turnpike near the Wantagh Parkway, and the other on Front Street, near the border with Uniondale.

To cast a vote, send your selection in an e-mail (with Slogan Contest included in the subject line) to emeadoweditor@ liherald.com. Votes can also be mailed to: East Meadow Herald Slogan Contest, 2 Endo Blvd., Garden City, N.Y. 11530.
     One vote per person, please!  All votes must be received by Oct. 28.
