East Meadow’s Eisenhower Park was alive with music from all over the world during the month of June.

“The International Music Nights series is a great Nassau County tradition, but this year we’re changing it around a little by establishing a dedicated month of music and culture to honor the range of ethnic groups that help make our County so dynamic,” said County Executive Edward Mangano before the events began.

The free concert series, this year renamed the “International Music Nights Month,” was presented by the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums, with support from Lake Success-based Canon U.S.A., Inc. This year’s series featured 21 concerts at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre.

The individual events had South Asian-, Bangladeshi-, Chinese-, Polish-, Greek-, Pakistani-, Latino-, Punjabi-, Korean-, Balkan-, African-, Caribbean-, Indian-, Irish-, Scandinavian-, Armenian-, Turkish-, Italian-, German-, Israeli-, and Ukrainian-American themes.
