Robberies
    - According to police, Peter Curry, 19, of Inwood entered Tony's Hero Shop on Old County Road in Westbury on July 9 at about 7:43 a.m. and demanded an employee to give him money. Police said the employee stated that she didn't have any money, but would make him some food. The defendant punched the employee in the face and fled, but was arrested by police, authorities said.
    - Jewelry was stolen from a home on Melody Lane in Salisbury, at about 6 p.m. on July 4.

Grand Larceny Auto


    - A 1994 Honda Civic parked on East Meadow Avenue was stolen sometime between 11 p.m. on July 15 and 7 a.m. on July 16.
    - A 2004 BMW was stolen parked in front of a house on Cedar Avenue on July 11.

Assault
   
An unknown subject approached a man who was arguing with an ex-girlfriend in Eisenhower Park and struck him in the face with a bat, on July 6 at 4 p.m.

Sexual abuse
   
A 48-year-old Levittown man was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly put both hands inside the shirt of a 26-year-old victim and groped her inside the Target on 3850 Hempstead Turnpike at 9:30 p.m., police said. According to detectives, he fled, but police and employees responded when the victim screamed and an officer apprehended the defendant in the parking lot and arrested him following an investigation.

The defendant, police said, is Tod Stolting of Newbridge Road in Levittown, a registered sex offender who is being charged with committing more than two incidents of sexual abuse in the past 10 years.
