Good times at ‘Laughs at the Library’ in East Meadow

Laughter filled the East Meadow Public Library on Dec. 29 as comedian Mark Brier brought his popular “Laughs at the Library” show to an in-person audience.

Brier, a Long Island comedy staple, was joined by a cast of fellow local comics for an afternoon of stand-up that delivered plenty of humor and lighthearted moments. Known for his quick wit and crowd-pleasing style, Brier kept the audience engaged throughout the performance.

The show offered residents a chance to enjoy live comedy close to home, reinforcing the library’s role as a hub for community entertainment as well as learning. Brier has been voted Best Comic on Long Island by Bethpage Federal Credit Union’s — now Four Leaf Federal Credit Union’s — Best of Long Island, a distinction that added to the event’s appeal.

“Laughs at the Library” is part of East Meadow Public Library’s ongoing effort to offer diverse programming for adult patrons.
