Just before the first day of class, East Meadow administrators gave a warm welcome to more than 20 educators who gathered at the Leon J. Campo Salisbury Center for New Teacher Orientation.

The forum was deemed an excellent way for starting staff to become acquainted with one another, as well as meet administrators and familiarize themselves with district policies and procedures.

During orientation the teachers also took a tour of the district aboard a school bus.

Anthony Russo, assistant superintendent for personnel and administration, told the teachers he is confident that they will be valuable assets, and Superintendent Louis DeAngelo encouraged them to ask questions and welcomed them to their new careers. “I am glad you have chosen East Meadow to do you life’s work,” he said. “We are here to help you grow and move forward as we all work together to provide the best for our East Meadow students.”
