Run with the Clarke Rams on Saturday
School hosts 5K run and one-mile fun run
The third annual Run with the Rams 5K Run/Walk and One-Mile Fun Run is scheduled for this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at W.T. Clarke High School and Middle School. Both runners and walkers are welcome to this annual event.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit a Clarke community member family in need. The remainder will benefit Clarke Athletics.

Upcoming board meetings
The East Meadow Board of Education was scheduled to meet for a Communications Meeting on Thursday, April 28 at 8 p.m. in the Leon J. Campo Administration Salisbury Center. Members of the public are invited to address the Board of Education during Communications Meetings. The center is located at 718 The Plain Road in Salisbury.
Also, the public is encouraged to attend formal presentation of the school district’s proposed budget for 2011-12, to be held on May 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Leon J. Campo Salisbury Center. The budget vote is on May 17.
Meet the candidates
The East Meadow PTA Council hosts its annual Meet the Candidates Forum on Monday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the Leon J. Campo Salisbury Center. This year’s board candidates are Joseph Danenza and Corey Fanelli, who are both running for reelection to their first three-year terms during the May 17 budget vote. Both Danenza and Fanelli will appear on the ballot unopposed in separate elections.
