Talented teens sing to win at Eisenhower Park

Twenty-five young finalists from all over Nassau County competed in Nassau County’s “Reach for the Stars” finals Saturday at Eisenhower Park. The finalists, who were chosen from a pool of 64 contestants, competed to win first, second or third place in the solo vocalist competition. They were judged by a prestigious group of professionals in the music and entertainment industry. The winner of the competition was Jaclyn Collins, 18, with her performance of “Brave.” Second place went to Atlantic Beach resident Katy Miller, 17, who sang “Astonishing,” and the third place winner was Quinn Lysaght, 13, of Rockville Centre, who performed “On My Own.”
