Trunk or Treating fun at the baseball fields

The weather was perfect — not too spooky, scary, rainy, or windy — for the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce’s third annual Trunk or Treat on Oct. 29.

Hundreds of children, and some parents, dressed up in their best costumes to walk around the East Meadow baseball complex and receive candy from local businesses and organizations who had booths set up. 50/50 raffles, Halloween themed music, and snacks were available for the trunk-or-treaters as well.

What started out as a safer way to trick or treat because of the coronavirus pandemic, has shifted into a community favorite event. The number of participants has increased significantly since it began. The line to get in was packed with kids all excited to see what treats awaited them ahead.
